The San Antonio State Supported Living Center Memorial Garden is an enhancement of the Living Center’s mission “to enable the people it serves to live a more satisfying, healthy and productive life.” The garden provides a new dimension to the lives of Living Center consumers. It provides a quiet, restful place that individuals can enjoy anytime they’d like. Located in the middle of campus it’s a wonderful place to learn about nature or just do a little bird watching. One way to help the Memorial Garden is to make a donation to assist the Council in the development and enhancement of the garden. With your help, we can increase the shaded areas and our number of benches. Another way to help is to purchase a brick engraved with your name or that of a person you would like to honor or memorialize. The bricks will be used to define the curving garden pathways to all to enjoy. Brick orders can be made by contacting the Community Relations Office. Have a green thumb? There are often times when our garden needs tending. Come alone or with a group and make the Memorial Garden a continued place of sanctuary for the individuals at the Living Center.
